Crash Course in Catching Up!!

So here is my attempt at catching you up on at least the last little while of our lives! ( It will seem rushed but informative:)

First there is Thanksgiving which was fantastic and the best I can remember in some time. Way low key and low stress. We went to Sundance for the Buffet so clearly we ate too much and left super happy! Not everyone made it since it was the off year and most of the family had to spend it with the out-laws instead of with our family which is why it was such a small bunch! OK NEXT!!
Christmas Fondue Party: Fantastic year especially for the kids!! The fondue party was great! We didn't have the kids for the fondue
party but they were off partying without us at Jeff's mom's for the annual Christmas grand kid sleepover!! The fondue party is yet another event that we eat too much at but leave incredibly happy. OK NEXT!
Christmas was CRAZY busy!! Christmas Eve we went to breakfast at Jeff's dad's house then went and saw The Princess and the Frog with the girls since they wouldn't be seeing the annual family movie with us the next day. We took the girls home after that for some Applesauce cookie making for Santa! The girls then bailed on us to a party on the other side of the family. When they returned we watched a movie then off to bed!!

Next morning was NUTS! We woke up, opened presents, had the whole family over for breakfast and presents. Everyone was in a super hurry to get to Heather's new in-laws for lunch and we had the trade off with the girls to do. We went and saw Avatar 3-D and that was fantastic. After that we went to Chris and Dana's for ham, rolls and yummy funeral potato's! We finally got to go home and put on pj's and do nothing after that!! OK NEXT.

New Years was fun. Both kids made it to midnight and made resolutions that neither have kept of course. My birthday (Jan.13Th) was super great and had the whole family to sushi and I got a Wii Fit Plus just what I wanted!!

Valentines: Kids were gone so we took Jeff's mom to dinner the night before for a date night. Jeff got me a bunch of tulips! We decided to have art time! Mike and Paige paint with acrylic so why can't we right? Well here is what the finished product looks like. Mine is on the left and I cheated since it is sort of a paint by number and Jeff's in on the right and he had to do it free hand! We made each other steak and crab for dinner and the best asparagus I have ever had I might add!!

Kenzie's B-day: Feb 16Th Let the marathon begin...the 15Th We took her to a movie with a friend then had the pizza party. 16Th- She came home to
a giant bunch of balloons and tons of presents as well as a birthday banner. (of course she thought there was a chance we would forget her birthday bahaha) We let her open her "M" necklace and her Taylor Swift CD/DVD then off to dinner where we ran into grandpa Brent and grandma Melanie so we hung out over dessert. We came home and opened the new comforter and sheet set and of course then had to clean and rearrange her entire room. (super fun and now age appropriate) 17TH-We had 11 people over for birthday dinner and had cake. What fun she had! 20TH-Birthday sleepover with grandma Darlene. 21ST- Jeff's family party dinner. END OF BIRTHDAY!

Last thing...the girls have been taking ballet since they received lessons for Christmas from grandma Robyn and grandpa Eric. They love them and now every time they hear music are dancing around the house and helping me realize what I must have done to my mother all the years of my childhood. :) They also got new dance outfits that are super cute!!

There is so much I left out but my brain is fried so maybe I can add more later!! Tah Tah for now!!

Super Busy Weekend.

So last weekend Jeff and I felt trapped in our house and bored as all get out, so we made a few plans for the weekend. (since we had no children)
Friday we went to "Underworld" and then to Outback for dinner.
Saturday we went to Village Inn with some friends and then "Slumdog Millionaire". We then went to my parents house and met up to head to The Chef's Table restaurant for my birthday dinner and then back to my folks house to see their pictures from their trip to Australia and New Zealand. Sunday we went to my sister Heather's house for a fabulous waffle birthday breakfast and then played Wii. Then we headed to Bountiful to Jeff's sisters for a birthday party for his sister, nephew and brother in law. Then we drove down to Provo to watch the SuperBowl at my parents house with my whole family. Dang I am tired just thinking about last weekend. So tonight is Friday and we are sitting on our butts still trying to recover from all of the entertainment of last weekend. MODERATION would be good here! (PS I have been very sick all week probably because we over did it!)

Great weekend, starts with Utes ends with B-day party.

Way to celebrate your Utes Utah!! The parade was hilarious. Everyone we talked to was going on about where their boss's thought they were. One guy was suppose to be at the Dentist and another was at a Doctors appointment. People did what they had to do to get there at 1p.m. on a Friday!!! It was not super cold and they were giving out free hot cider and U shaped cookies so it took the edge off. I am starting to feel like my husband who's blog only consists of UTES. Oh well, what do you do!!! LOL We got to go up with my sisters so that was super fun as well.

For the after parade celebration we decided to go to opening night of MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3-D!!!! We laughed so hard it was totally worth the $10.25 each to go see it. You get to keep the 3-D glasses which the kids love. I laugh during horror movies and apparently my sister jumps and screams which made it all the more entertaining!! What a great Friday night we had. Oh and on Sunday we went to MY 30th birthday party with the in-laws!!!!! I got to pick the menu and we had a blast. Overall, very good weekend.

The night Bunko almost died!

So this is a picture of what last night felt like to me. Last night was the first Tuesday of the month and therefore BUNKO NIGHT!! Of course it has to be the worlds worst snow storm or at least that is how it felt to me! Bunko was so much fun and we laugh ridiculously hard (at Aria's expense for some of the evening but she is a great sport) The planets aligned to make it Bunko night at the house of the girl that lives at the top of Traverse Mountain in a nice snow storm on top of already icy roads so for me that = DEATH! My sis and friend asked why I didn't cancel since that is in my nature to be a shut-in when it is snowing but I told them I wanted to hang out with them THAT badly. Well I got us there, slowly but surely. While at Bunko it continues to snow so my little sister Heather Drives my fabulous 4wheel drive vehicle back to her house. She couldn't resist slamming on the brakes and fish tailing when possible down steep icy hills. She RULES. NOT! OK so maybe I have a slight panic disorder but it really seemed bad to me and I was in the back seat of my own car so as not to see the hell that awaited us. This is a picture of what it probably really looked like to the rest of the world if this helps explain this story any better!! I AM A FREAK!!

Sugar IS sweet!

So I would just like to thank the boys in red for making this season PERFECT! I even got to see my sisters on national television in Louisiana. P.S. sisters, you sure looked cute, dressed in UTE! My husband and I could not be happier with the results and might I add, the proof is in the pudding BCS!! We are proud season ticket holders even in the years when we don't roll the Alabama Crimson Tide but that sure was a bonus this year! 31-17 I want to thank my true friend Natalie who is a true blue BYU fan for the congratulitory phone call after the Utes won their bowl game. It seems like a long wait until kick off of next season and we can't wait. (if you check Jeff's blog, www.peiceofblog.blogspot.com he has a count down to kick off on there. LOL) Love you long time University of Utah!!! P.S. I think coach Sabin is a little dissappointed in the preformance, for lack of a better word, of his TEAM this game!!

POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME!!

We are staying home from the SUGAR BOWL the woUld be the UTES BOWL GAME for having yet another Undefeated 12-0 season. My sisters are going to be present and accoUnted for at the game in LoUisiana but we will be sitting home sad. We have jUst as mUch UTE PRIDE jUst not as mUch UTE $$$$! This makes me very sad as it is making my hUsband ever worse than me! They better win is all I have to say aboUt this topic!! GO UTES!! :(

Thanksgiving!

So it turns out I am not so good at the whole update the blog thing. I am just a little slow so if you are patient you will get my info 3 weeks behind. Lucky you! So Thanksgiving rocked but was busy. Best food ever. Totally funny that we decided this year only to have immediate family for dinner and this

is still what happened. Welcome to our HUGE family full of love!! It takes 2 full tables pushed together to pull off the feast. This was the first time we have all been in the same room for about 4 years so it was really fun, loud and a little ridiculous. Of course we decided that this event required a photo op. and this is how that worked out.

Hope you all had a great season and I will do my best to keep up better. (Sorry Natalie and thanks for the stern talking to about my bad blogging skills :)
